So here is my first attempt at blogging. I used to keep a diary, so this should be just as soothing to me - but now it's out there for any of you to read... so I guess I should be careful what I write, LOL!
It's a typical Sunday here in the Baker house. Dave is watching football pre-shows and the girls are running around upstairs bothering each other.
One thing is different now though - I just quit my job at Applebees and am now working at a diner again. I just found that it wasn't the right personality match for me to be at Applebees anymore. They are all in their 20's and more interested in drinking and sleeping with each other. I'm 36 now and more concerned with what's going on with the girls and what Dave's coaching schedule is for the week (He coaches kid's football and baseball - and no, we don't have a son (yet) but Dave loves coaching and working with kids, so he does it anyway. He's going to school to be a high school teacher - so the coaching is good for his resume as well as being something he loves). So anyway, the diner is quieter and more friendly. I am seeing lots of customers that I knew from when I worked at the diner a few years ago. I've been there a week already and I really like it.
I guess this is good for my first entry. I hope anyone reading this comes back and reads more. I promise it won't be so boring once I really get going...
